CUET Exam Centers 2026 – How Will the Exam Be Conducted?
The CUET 2026 exam will be held in CBT mode at 306 centers in India. The exam will be held in the following manner.
- Students can select up to 4 cities as exam centres in order of preference during registration.
- Students can choose any language medium from the 13 languages provided by the NTA.
- The exam will be held in 2-3 shifts per day.
- The question format of the CUET will be objective-type.
- The duration of the exam is 60 minutes for each subject.

How to Select CUET UG Exam City 2026 During Application?
Candidates need to select the exam city for CUET during the application process itself. Steps to select the CUET exam city are as follows:
- Go to the CUET 2026 official website – cuet.nta.nic.in.
- Check the News and Events section and look for the CUET UG 2026 application link.
- Click on the link and complete the registration process.
- Use the login ID created during registration to log back to the portal and fill in the asked details.
- Select cities from the list provided there. You can select up to 4 cities in order of preference.
- Once done, upload the necessary documents and pay the fees.

Important Guidelines for CUET Exam Centre 2026
On reaching CUET exam centres, candidates must follow the guidelines as provided by the NTA. The following guidelines must be followed at the allotted centre:
- Reach the allotted centre at least 2 hours before the exam.
- Carry your CUET admit card along with the necessary documents, such as a valid photo ID proof and two passport-size photographs.
- Instruments, gadgets, and electronic items are strictly prohibited.
- You can carry a transparent water bottle without a label.
How to Download CUET 2026 Exam Centre Advance Intimation Slip
NTA release the CUET city intimation slip in advance to inform students about the city where their centre will be located. You should note that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. Your admit card contains information about your allotted city and exam centre details. Use the following steps to download the CUET city intimation slip 2026:
