The CUET Chemistry syllabus 2026 has been released by the NTA. Along with the chemistry, NTA has released the syllabus for all 27 cuet domain subjects, including the General Aptitude Test and 13 Language subjects. 

The CUET Chemistry syllabus 2026 has 10 units covering major chapters such as Chemical Kinetics, Polymers, Biomolecules, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers. The CUET Chemistry exam will be held in May 2026 in CBT mode. The exact date will be announced by the NTA shortly.

CUET Chemistry Exam Pattern 2026

To know the exam structure, you should understand the marking scheme, duration, and total number of questions provided in the question paper. Check out the detailed CUET Chemistry exam pattern mentioned below.

  • The CUET Chemistry question paper will contain 50 questions in MCQ format.
  • The total marks allotted to the Chemistry paper are 250. 
  • Candidates need to complete the paper within 60 minutes.
  • Every question carries +5 marks. Students need to be very careful while answering questions, as there is a deduction of -1 for every wrong attempt.

CUET Chemistry is conducted for 250 marks. There will be 50 questions, and each question is allotted +5 marks. Also, -1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

In CUET Chemistry, marks above 190 out of 250 are considered a CUET good score. However, to get admission to top central universities like DU, JNU and BHU, your score should be 200+ in CUET Chemistry 2026.
