NPAT exam 2026 is scheduled from February 10 to May 31, 2026. The detailed NPAT analysis for phase 2 exam will be provided shortly. As per the previous year's NPAT exam analysis, we can expect NPAT to be moderate this year as well. The high-weightage topics from the Quant section are DI, Trigonometry, Arithmetic, and Set Theory. In logical reasoning, students can expect a good number of questions from Verbal Reasoning, Visual Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, and Ven Diagram. In the Verbal Reasoning section, Reading Comprehension, Cloze Passage and Spot the Error are considered important from the exam’s viewpoint.

The analysis will include the sectional and overall difficulty levels, topic-wise weightage, and the number of good attempts in each section. The NPAT question paper includes three sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Reasoning.

FAQs On NPAT Exam Analysis

70 marks in NPAT is generally considered an average score. If you aim for NMIMS Mumbai, your NPAT score should be 95+ out of 120. But a 100+ score in NPAT is taken as an exceptional score to get into any B-school you want.

According to the analysis of the NPAT previous years papers (PYQs), the overall difficulty level of the exam is moderate. The Quant section is moderate to difficult, while the other sections are generally easy to moderate in difficulty.

Quantitative Reasoning is considered the hardest among the three sections. Some of the important chapters in Quant are DI, Trigonometry, Arithmetic and SET Theory.

The NPAT cutoff for NMIMS Mumbai is expected to be 90+. However, students should strive to score 100+ marks to get admission to the college they want to.

Candidates can take up to 2 retakes in NPAT. Each retake costs INR 1000. Based on performance, the authority will consider the highest marks for the final merit list.

NPAT total marks are 120. As per the NPAT marking scheme, every section includes 40 questions, each of which is allotted 1 mark.
