What Does the IIM Indore IPM Fees Include?

The IIM Indore IPM fee includes more than the annual course fee. For the latest published 2026–31 fee structure, students also need to pay a refundable caution deposit, mess deposit and medical insurance premium. These additional charges are separate from the course fee and are subject to the institute's specified terms.

1. Refundable Caution Deposit

The refundable caution deposit is a one-time amount collected from IPM students as a security deposit. For both domestic and international students, the amount is ₹50,000, payable in Term I of the first year. IIM Indore states that this deposit is refundable on completion of the five-year course, after applicable deductions such as the medical insurance premium and other dues.

2. Mess Deposit

The mess deposit is used to adjust the student's actual mess bill. For the first three years, the mess deposit is ₹54,000 per academic year, paid as ₹18,000 per term. The same amount is listed for domestic and international students. IIM Indore notes that the mess deposit is adjusted against the actual mess bill.

3. Medical Insurance Premium

Students also have to pay a medical insurance premium, which is charged based on actuals. The institute states that the premium is deducted from the refundable caution deposit. The latest published fee document lists the insurance premium separately from the course fee and mess deposit.

4. Other Expenses

The IIM Indore IPM course fee does not include the cost of textbooks. Students may therefore have to bear textbook and other academic expenses separately. Fees and mess deposits can be paid in three term-wise instalments as specified by the institute.
