IPMAT Indore 2028 Selection Process
Stage 1 – IPMAT Indore Exam: Candidates appear for the IPMAT Indore aptitude test consisting of 90 questions over 120 minutes.
Stage 2 – IPMAT Indore PI Shortlist: Candidates must clear the sectional cutoffs in order to be eligible for the PI round. In 2028, the General category sectional cutoffs were 27 (QA-MCQ), 28 (QA-SA), and 111 (VA). A total of 838 students were shortlisted for PI in 2028.
Stage 3 – IPMAT Indore Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for a PI conducted by IIM Indore. The PI typically covers academic background, current affairs, logical reasoning, and motivation for studying management.
Stage 4 – IPMAT Indore Final Merit List: IPMAT Indore final merit list is prepared based on a composite score: IPMAT Aptitude Test score carries 65% weightage, and PI performance carries 35% weightage. Unlike IIM Rohtak, IIM Indore does not give any weightage to Class 10 or Class 12 marks for the final merit list.
IPMAT Rohtak 2028 Selection Process
Stage 1 – Written Examination: The first stage of the selection process requires candidates to appear for the IPMAT Rohtak examination, which consists of a 120-question Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)-based test. The examination is divided into three sections, Quantitative Ability (QA), Logical Reasoning (LR), and Verbal Ability (VA), and must be completed within a total duration of 120 minutes. Candidates are not bound by any sectional time limits, allowing them to allocate time at their own discretion.
Stage 2 – Shortlisting for Personal Interview: The candidates who meet or exceed the prescribed overall cutoff score are deemed eligible to proceed to the next stage.
Stage 3 – Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates are required to appear for an Online Personal Interview (PI) conducted by IIM Rohtak. In certain years, the institute may also incorporate a Written Ability Test (WAT) as part of this stage.
Stage 4 – Final Merit List: IIM Rohtak prepares a final merit list based on a composite score derived from multiple parameters. The weightage assigned to each component is as follows: IPMAT Rohtak examination score (55%), Personal Interview performance (15%), Class 12 academic marks (12%), and Class 10 academic marks (10%).
