What is Role of IPMAT Cut Off?

For admissions through the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IPM Aptitude Test – Rohtak), the institute offers around 180–200 seats for its IPM programme, based on recent trends. With 14,000+ applicants competing every year, the number of seats remains very limited. Therefore, IPMAT cut off marks act as the first stage of screening.

Only candidates who score above the category-wise cut off (General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD) are shortlisted for the next stage, which is usually the Personal Interview (PI) round. Meeting the cut off does not guarantee admission, but it ensures eligibility for further evaluation in the selection process.

Similarly, the IIM Indore receives a high number of applications for 150 seats. Usually, this number goes upto 20,000 aspirants which leads to high cut off marks.
