What is IPMAT 2026?

IPMAT stands for Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test. It is a national-level entrance test conducted separately by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission into their 5-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).

Originally introduced by IIM Indore, the IPM program is now offered by other IIMs as well. While IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak conduct their own IPMAT exams separately, several other IIMs, such as IIM Ranchi, IIM Jammu, and IIM Bodh Gaya, accept the IPMAT Indore score for admission to their IPM programs. 

This makes IPMAT Indore one of the most important exams for management aspirants after Class 12.

The program is designed for students who want to enter the field of business and management right after school, skipping the need to crack CAT after graduation. The IPM curriculum builds a strong foundation in subjects like economics, statistics, mathematics, social sciences, and management. 

The final two years are equivalent to the flagship MBA offered by these IIMs.

There is negative marking applicable in IPMAT exam 2026:
