Mistakes to Avoid During XAT Registrations 2027

Avoiding these common mistakes can help you complete your XAT 2027 registration successfully and prevent unnecessary issues during the admission process.

1. Entering Incorrect Personal Details

Fill in your name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number, and academic details carefully. These details should match your official documents, as incorrect information may create problems during verification.

2. Uploading Incorrect Photograph or Signature

Upload a recent passport-size photograph and your signature in the prescribed format, size, and dimensions. Blurred images or files that do not meet the specifications may lead to rejection of the application.

3. Using an Inactive Email ID or Mobile Number

Use an active email address and mobile number throughout the admission process. XAT-related updates, admit card notifications, and important announcements will be sent to these registered contact details.

4. Selecting Incorrect XLRI Programme Preferences

If you are applying to XLRI programmes, choose your preferred courses carefully before making the payment. Additional fees are charged for each programme selected, and preferences cannot always be modified later.

5. Providing Incorrect Academic Information

Enter your Class 10, Class 12, graduation, and work experience details accurately. Incorrect marks, passing year, or university information may lead to discrepancies during document verification.

6. Choosing Exam Cities Without Proper Planning

Select your preferred test cities carefully based on convenience and travel. Although candidates can choose multiple preferences, the final allotment depends on availability.

7. Not Reviewing the Application Before Final Submission

Before submitting the form, use the preview option to verify every detail. Check your personal information, uploaded documents, programme preferences, and payment details to avoid mistakes.

8. Incomplete Fee Payment or Not Saving Confirmation

Complete the application fee payment successfully and verify that the transaction has been confirmed. After submission, download and save the application confirmation page and payment receipt for future reference.

The XAT 2027 exam will be held in 109 cities, and each city will have at least one exam centre. Candidates will get the option to choose upto six cities for centre allotment. One will be allotted an XAT test centre on the basis of the options chosen in the XAT application form.
