Who is Eligible to Register for CAT?

Professional Degree Holders	Candidates who have completed professional qualifications such as CA, CS, CMA (ICWA), or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with the required marks are eligible to apply.
Recognised Qualification	The qualifying degree must be awarded by a university/institution recognised by the UGC, AICTE, or the Ministry of Education, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of India.
CAT Age Limit	No age limit. Candidates of any age who meet the educational eligibility criteria can register for CAT 2026.

Documents Required to Fill Application Form of CAT

Before you start your CAT online registration 2026, you must keep certain documents handy. Given below is the checklist of the documents:

Things to Know Before Paying CAT Application Form Fees

• The CAT 2026 registration fee is a one-time payment, irrespective of the number of IIMs or participating institutes you apply to.
• The application fee of CAT cannot be refunded under any circumstances once the payment is successfully made.
• You must upload a valid category certificate when filling out the application form if you belong to the SC, ST, or PwBD category.
• The registration fee must be paid online through the available payment options during the application process.
• Your CAT 2026 application will be considered complete only after the successful payment of the registration fee.

How to Register for CAT Exam?

Step 1: Complete Your CAT 2026 Registration

Visit the official CAT website and click on "New Candidate Registration". Enter your basic details, including your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number, to create your account.

While registering, keep the following points in mind:

• Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate. If your name has changed due to marriage or any other legal reason, you may be required to provide valid supporting documents.
• Select your date of birth carefully before proceeding.
• Use a valid email address, as all important communication, including your login credentials, will be sent to this email ID.
• Enter an active mobile number to receive OTPs, passwords, and exam-related updates.
• Complete the CAPTCHA verification and submit your registration.

Once your registration is successful, your User ID and Password will be sent to your registered email address and mobile number.

Step 2: Log In to Your Account

Use the User ID and Password received during registration to log in to the CAT candidate portal.

Before you begin filling out the application form, remember to:

• Fill all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*).
• Keep your documents ready for upload.
• Click "Save & Continue" after completing each section.
• Use your mouse to move between fields instead of the Tab key.
• Save your progress regularly if you plan to complete the application over multiple sessions.
• Review every detail carefully because most information cannot be changed after you pay the application fee.

Step 3: Fill in Your Personal Details

Provide your personal information, including:

• Father's, mother's, or guardian's name
