IIM Bangalore is the second-best B-school in India after IIM Ahmedabad. It offers courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. For MBA, IIM Bangalore admission is offered to the two-year Post Graduate Programme (PGP), two-year Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA), one-year Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP) and two-year Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM).

IIM Bangalore MBA Admission Process

IIM Bangalore follows a programme-specific admission process for its four MBA programmes. The PGP and PGPBA admission processes use a valid CAT score and a multi-stage evaluation that considers academics, work experience where applicable, written assessment and interview performance. 

EPGP is for experienced professionals and requires a valid GMAT or GRE score, while PGPEM is designed for working professionals and accepts CAT, GMAT, GRE or the IIMB Test. 

PGP Selection Process

The PGP selection process involves CAT-based shortlisting, followed by WAT and PI, with final admission based on a composite evaluation.

The PGPBA selection process considers CAT performance and other admission parameters through multiple stages before final admission offers are made.

The official IIM Bangalore programme pages provide the actual enrolled strength of the 2026 batches, which is the most reliable course-wise seat data currently available. IIM Bangalore MBA Fee Structure 2026

The IIM Bangalore MBA fee structure varies across its four major management programmes based on programme duration, residential facilities and curriculum requirements. The fees for the two-year PGP and PGPBA programmes is ₹26 lakh each, while the one-year EPGP costs between ₹32.20 lakh and ₹33.68 lakh, depending on whether a student chooses IIM Bangalore accommodation. 

The two-year PGPEM programme has a tuition fee of ₹20.11 lakh. Apart from the programme fee, candidates may need to pay refundable deposits, mess charges and applicable taxes or levies, depending on the programme.
