FAQs on MBA Eligibility Criteria in India

Generally, 50% marks are required for admission to an MBA program through any entrance exams such as CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, NMAT, etc. With this, the selection criteria vary depending on the college and the program you choose. However, a Personal Interview is held in MBA institutes to shortlist students.

MBA eligibility depends on the program you choose. Some MBA programs require a bachelor's degree in any discipline with no work experience. Some MBA programs, like the MBA in Business Analytics offered at the NMIMS Mumbai campus through NMAT, require a B.E or B. Tech degree.

After the 12th course, students can pursue a BBA course or apply for a 5-year integrated course through IPMAT, JIPMAT, etc.

CAT eligibility is that candidates should have at least 50% marks in graduation in any discipline from a recognised institution.

There is no MBA age limit in India. But for the GMAT, the minimum age to take the test is 18 years.
