What is IPMAT?

The IPMAT exam is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to the 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by select IIMs. This program is designed for students who have completed their Class 12 and wish to pursue a career in business, management, or entrepreneurship. Through IPMAT, students can secure a seat in prestigious IIMs like Indore, Rohtak, Ranchi, Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and others without waiting to complete their graduation or appear for the CAT exam.

The exam tests candidates in areas such as Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation (depending on the IIM). It is conducted in online mode, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) for final selection.

• IPMAT Indore and IPMAT Rohtak exams are held in May every year, usually one week apart.
• Application forms for both IPMAT exams are released in February, giving you around 1.5 to 2 months to apply.
• IPMAT admit cards are generally released 10 to 14 days before the exam date.
• JIPMAT is generally conducted in April, ahead of both IPMAT exams.
• Application correction windows are short, so keep your documents and details ready while registering.
• Final IPMAT results and merit lists are released in June.
• Academic sessions begin from August onwards, depending on the IIM’s schedule.
